Taro is an AI-powered learning companion designed to give students certainty in their independent study process.
Unlike typical AI tools that simply summarize content, Taro focuses on meta-learning - teaching students how to learn by identifying 'blind spots' and suggesting personalized strategies.
As a product designer at MindCET, I’ve been leading the transition from single-session feedback to a holistic, long-term learning journey.
This project is still in progress - stay tuned for updates!

Lead Product Designer, Brand Designer & Builder

Edtech, AI Tool

The challenge
The Autodidact’s Paradox
Independent learners struggle with "Resource Fatigue" and a lack of structured synthesis.
Solution
Our mission is to build an intelligent companion that acts as a Learning Architect, bridging the gap between raw information and deep, actionable mastery.

Research Loops
We conducted surveys and interviews to map and learn about the emotional friction of learning alone.
The Insight
Users don't just want an AI; they want a partner that understands their specific learning style.

The Strategy
The Smoke Test & Traction
Market Proof
Designed a branded landing page ( Link ) that secured 70+ organic signups in a week, proving demand before full-scale development.
Branding & Motion
Established a visual language of "Intelligence & Calm" to foster a trustworthy mentor-user relationship.

We believe the best products aren’t built for users, but with them.
Continuous Feedback
Through webinar pilots and in-person testing at youth centers, we gather real-time insights that directly influence our roadmap.
Agile Evolution
Each month, during our MindCET marathons, we present our latest iterations as an Investor-Ready Pitch, ensuring the product evolves in alignment with both user needs and stakeholder vision.
The Living MVP
Our current state is a functional MVP that we are constantly breaking, fixing, and improving based on the direct input of our 70+ early adopters (acquired in just one week).

Key Outcomes
Co-Created Growth: Successfully moved from a concept to a functional, community-validated ecosystem.
Agile Mastery: Proved the ability to manage a product lifecycle that remains flexible and responsive to user feedback.
Reflection
Taro has taught me that a product is never truly 'finished.' By embracing the Work in Progress mindset and building in public with our users, I’ve learned how to prioritize empathy over ego. This project solidifies my ability to lead an iterative design process that stays grounded in real human behavior.
